Job Description:
PROFESSIONAL GOLFERS ASSOCIATION OF CANADA Professional Golfers' Association of Canada is a member based non-profit organization representing over 3,800 golf professionals across Canada. The Association was founded in 1911 which makes it the oldest professional golf association in North America.
INTERNSHIP DATES:
Approximately February 1 – May 3, 2013
DESCRIPTION:
The PGA of Canada is looking for a qualified applicant to work within the Education and Membership Departments.
TYPICAL HOURS:
Office days are 8:30 am – 4:30 pm from Monday-Friday
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The intern will assist in administration of the PGA of Canada Education Department. Some of the duties and responsibilities include:
• Updating membership files
• Track and monitor coach and instructor requirements
• Creating and reporting spreadsheets
• Administrative tasks
• Coordinate education database updates
REQUIRED SKILLS:
• Knowledge of the National Coaching Certification Program
• Highly motivated and great attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong computer knowledge
• Bilingualism (French & English) an asset
