Position: Social Media / Digital Marketing Intern

Job Description:
The Social Media Intern will play a key role in research and communication delivery to Oshawa Generals fans via numerous mediums including social media and website:

• Work closely with the Director of Marketing to create online content and to post approved content on the appropriate sites.
• Suggest and create engaging content for all Generals social media platforms – from written copy to collecting images, video, etc.
• Research and identify relevant new social media trends, strategies, promotions and outlets.
• Assist in managing calendar for priority messaging from various internal departments and partners.
• Coordinate contest & sponsor fulfillment for, social media outlets
• Assist in Game Day Events staff in execution of on-site media promotions and theme night events.

Required Skills Include:
• A working knowledge of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is a MUST
• Must have an available schedule that will allow for 20-25 hours a week, with the ability to work nights/weekends as needed
• Passion for social media
• Experience with various social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, Foursquare, Pinterest, YouTube and Google+
• Video and photo editing skills a plus
• Excellent communication, writing and organizational skills
• Detail oriented and the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
• Strong customer service orientation as well as presenting a professional presence

Salary Range: Unpaid
