Position: Manager of Golf Operations

Job Description:
Copetown Woods is one of Ontario’s finest public golf facilities, located 10 minutes from Hamilton. Copetown Woods is actively seeking the services of an experienced manager to oversee golf operations for the 2013 golf season in the position of Manager of Golf Operations.

Copetown Woods Golf Club was established in 2003, but its history goes back long before that time. The beautiful links inspired golf course was once 200 acres of rolling farmland, a small portion of land owned and operated by the current owners of Copetown Woods.

Copetown Woods prides itself on its commitment to providing exceptional customer service, a meticulously conditioned golf course and superior facilities. Copetown Woods is known as one of the top golfing values in all of Ontario, and is home to one of the finest Wedding/Banquet facilities in the area, making Copetown Woods a great place to play, celebrate and work!

Job Responsibilities

• Direct and manage the entire golf operations
• Provide excellent customer service to all patrons
• Actively promote the Club and generate sales for golf tournaments and daily fee public play
• Manage, conduct and recruit golf tournaments and events
• Hire, train and supervise staff
• Stock and manage a profitable golf shop
• Perform other duties as required from time to time

Interpersonal Skills Required

• Exceptional customer service skills
• Able to work in a fast paced environment
• Able to lead a team with little or no supervision
• Strong computer knowledge and skills
• Self-motivated, willingness to accept responsibility and accountability, and work in a team atmosphere
• Previous experience in marketing/sales environment is a strong asset
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem solving skills
• Punctual, Reliable, Dedicated

Other Skills

• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher (Jencess POS an asset)

Copetown Woods offers a competitive salary with benefits, meal plan and CPGA Dues paid (if applicable).
