Position: Marketing & Sponsorship Coordinator

Job Description:

The Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) is a national sports organization enriching the academic experience of student-athletes through intercollegiate sport.

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Marketing and Sponsorship Coordinator has specific responsibilities in the execution of marketing and sponsorship.

Key responsibilities shall include but are not limited to:
• assisting with marketing the CCAA brand both internally and externally
• coordinating partner/sponsor obligations to the Association and major events
• actively pursuing sponsors
• negotiating relative contracts in consultation with Vice President Marketing and Executive Director
• coordinating National Championship host responsibilities in relation to marketing and promotion
• developing and coordinating fundraising activities
• designing and developing promotional and branded materials for the association
• selling advertisements for the Media Guide/Directory and website
• enhancing website design and functionality
• developing and coordinating the CCAA's broadcast and webcast strategy
• assisting with marketing and sponsorship programs that currently exist with the Canadian Sport Community.

The successful candidate is expected to have:
• university degree or minimum 2 year college diploma in Marketing and Promotions or the equivalent (Sport Marketing education or experience would be a definite asset)
• knowledge of the amateur sport system in Canada
• demonstrated understanding of project management
• experience in working in the volunteer sector
• demonstration of creativity and initiative
• communication skills in both official languages is preferred
• experience working with Adobe Creative suite (photoshop/illustrator/Indesign) and website content management systems
• outstanding organizational skills mixed with strong interpersonal and external partner relation skills

It is a full time position based in Cornwall, Ontario. Some Canadian travel will be required. The salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience and will include an attractive employee benefits package. The position entails a 37.5 hour work week; at times a flexible work week may be necessary. The anticipated start date is February 25, 2013, however some flexibility can be demonstrated.
