Position: Administrative Program Coordinator

Job Description:
The Administrative Program Coordinator is the front-line administrative employee for the Minto Skating Centre and assists with the day to day operations of our leagues, ice rentals and bar. Skills required include administrative, marketing, organizational, planning, people management and accounting, combined with a demonstrated knowledge of the game of hockey.

Examples of Duties
• Answer the phone, return messages and other administrative work;
• Book ice, market available ice and process payments;
• Research internet and compile lists for marketing and reporting purposes;
• Provide supervision, training and support to staff when needed;
• Update website and social media accounts;
• Maintain accurate records;
• Assist with public relations efforts; and,
• Assist with restoring facility to a usable condition after events are over.

Additional Functions
Perform other related duties when necessary.

Minimum Qualifications
College diploma; one to two years of experience in coordination and/or administration of recreational programs or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.

Desired Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of:
• Principles, practices, and methods of recreational programming;
• Recordkeeping, report preparation, filing methods and records management techniques;
• Standard business arithmetic, including percentages and decimals; and,
• Computer applications related to the work.

Terms of Employment
Full-time weekday position with the availability to work weekends, evenings and holidays on a rare occasion.

Salary
$12 to $16 hourly for 35 hours per week.
