Position: Tiger-Cats Summer Internship Program

Job Description:
Hamilton Tiger-Cats Football Club Internship Program

Location: Business Office - Hamilton, Ontario and Game Day - Guelph, Ontario

Contracted Time: 4 month or 7 month internships available (May 1 to September 2 OR May 1 to November 29)

Stipend: Opportunity to recuperate out of pocket expenses: $250 per month. At the end of the football season, providing you have participated in the game day execution of all 2013 Ticat home games, there is a $1,000 honorarium.

Hours Required: 40 hours per week + all 2013 Tiger-Cats home games at the University of Guelph.

MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats internship program is to educate its participants in all aspects of operating a professional sports organization. Through observation and practical experience, interns learn how to function in a professional environment that requires a high energy level, the ability to perform under pressure, show initiative in discovering new programs and the utilization of essential time management skills. Through these developments, the Hamilton Tiger-Cats strive to successfully prepare those within the placement to compete for positions in today’s competitive career marketplace.

REQUIREMENTS
To qualify for an internship with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, all participants must be enrolled in, or have recently graduated from a degree program. All interns may be eligible to earn a nominal monthly stipend. All candidates are required to have excellent interpersonal skills, communication and organizational skills, computer skills as well as a serious interest in the field of the placement for which you would like to be considered.

APPLICANTS
Applicants for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats internship program must be hard working, dedicated, self-motivated individuals who can function productively in a challenging environment. In addition to your assignments during the regular work week, students are required to participate in executing all 2013 Hamilton Tiger-Cats home games. Internship programs will run for 4 months (May-August) or 7 months (May-November) depending on department.

• COMMUNITY RELATIONS
• CORPORATE PARTNERSHIPS
• FINANCE
• MERCHANDISE
• MULTIMEDIA AND VIDEO PRODUCTION
• MARKETING & GAMEDAY EXECUTION
• STAFF WRITER
• TICATS TV HOST
