Position: Repair Technician

Job Description:
The Boat Repair Technician will perform general repairs and preventative maintenance to a fleet of 30 plus boats serving the recreational and competitive rowing and dragon boating programs.

You will inspect for cracked or damaged hardware and order/install replacement parts. You will be required to develop a list of appropriate spare parts that will be required. You will need to ensure all receipts and equipment purchases are logged and accounted for.

You will learn how to work with Fiberglass and Kevlar. You will be working with some older boats and woodworking skills will be required. You will organize painting of boat hulls by a professional company when required. You will be required to take outboard marine motors for regular maintenance and repair.

You will be required to maintain a clean and well-organized workspace. You will be required to perform general maintenance of the boathouse which may include, sweeping, cleaning showers and toilets, mopping floors of change rooms, and other duties as assigned.
• Familiar with hand sanders
• Familiar with hand held drills
• Woodworking Skills
• Knowledge of showing shells
• Motivated and willing to learn
• Well organized
• Strong customer service skills.

Salary Range: $15/hour
