Position: Customer Service Front Desk Liaison

Job Description:
The Fortius Institute is an integrated team of sport and exercise medicine leaders committed to the best practices in prevention, performance, treatment, education and research. Our Institute – which is part of Fortius Sport & Health and resides at the heart of the Fortius Athlete Development Centre in Burnaby, B.C. – is seeking individuals predisposed to working in a team environment synonymous with integration, collaboration and innovation. Role Summary
The primary responsibility of the Customer Service Front Desk Liaison is to ensure all Fortius Sport & Health clients have a pleasant and welcoming experience. This person needs to possess a passion for customer service, be knowledgeable about the company and accommodate and cater to client specific needs, enquiries and requests. This person is always polite, flexible and accommodating. The most important skill needed in order to be a Customer Service Front Desk Liaison is communication. The person interacts with clients either by telephone or in-person and needs to be adaptable and an efficient self-starter with strong attention to detail. A large aspect of communication is the ability to listen and evaluate. In addition, he or she is familiar with local businesses, venues and special events and listens to the requests made by clients, offering solutions or recommendations tailored to their needs.

Responsibilities
• Greet clients, business associates, guests in a welcoming and professional manner
• Set up and organize company events including facility and/or Institute preparation
• Organize activities and meetings for employees, vendors and business partners
• Responsible for performing on-going administrative duties related to maintaining the front desk area
• Schedule and book appointments, meeting rooms and fitness and/or educational classes
• Answer or make telephone calls, return emails and take care of client or visitor requests and inquiries
• Direct clients and medical representatives to appropriate location and services
• He or she is familiar with local businesses, venues and special events and listens to the requests made by clients, offering solutions or recommendations tailored to their needs
• Promote, coordinate, facilitate and market services, venues and events
• Implement communication strategies to build client relationships
• Other duties as required

Requirements
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
• Minimum 1 year of customer service experience
• Undergraduate degree in the health care field would be a strong asset
• Business Administration and/or Marketing education
• 2-4 years of clerical and administrative related experience in the customer service industry
• Computer experience, including Microsoft office
• Knowledge of health care and office practices, procedures and standards would be an asset
