Position: Director, Ticket Sales and Service

Job Description:
OTTAWA SPORTS AND ENTERTAINMENT GROUP (OSEG) Based in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada the Ottawa Sports and Entertainment Group (OSEG) owns and operates three (3) sports franchises in the CFL, OHL and NASL and will operate a newly-renovated Lansdowne Park which includes a state of the art arena and stadium.
Our CFL franchise and Ottawa Fury F.C. franchise of the NASL are set to launch in 2014 and will join our well-established Ottawa 67’s Major Junior hockey team of the OHL.

We are looking for successful professionals who can join our team and be part of an organization that will change the Ottawa area sports and entertainment landscape.

THE POSITION:
Director of Ticket Sales and Service

THE MANDATE:
The Director of Ticket Sales and Service will lead, manage, motivate and mentor a ticket sales/service team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Director of Ticket Sales and Service position will include:

• Establish pricing model for all aspects of ticketing;
• Establish best practices for various ticket programs including; season tickets, mini plans, group sales and game day sales;
• Establish territories and hire, train, manage and mentor a successful sales and service team;
• Key sales person for the department and personally handles all major accounts;
• Ensure that the sales budget is being met across all three sports platforms;
• Performs regular performance reviews for ticketing staff and makes necessary adjustments when required;
• Ensures that best practices are utilized in the area of fan relationship, fan retention and customer service;
• Keeps abreast of new industry ticketing initiatives that could be implemented accross all three sports platforms;

ATTRIBUTES, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• A proven leader in the Ticket Sales area;
• At least five (5) years experience leading a team of sales and service professionals;
• Able to prospect and sell to into major accounts;
• Is a dynamic self starter who can operate in a fast paced environment;
• Is creative and can handle many tasks at once;
• A highly motivated individual who welcomingly accept the challenges of building out a high-functioning team in an environment that is fun but demanding;
• A customer and service-oriented individual who can also balance their responsibilities;
• A detailed-oriented individual who understands hard work while maintaining a “bigger picture” view of the organizational goals;
• Great communications skills and the ability to work well within their department and within the organization.
