Position: Regional Projects Officer
About this job
A role combining administration and communication with project and event management, ensuring that the day to day delivery of the requirements of the ICC Americas Development Program is met. This will require the establishment, implementation and continuous review of various processes and systems in regard to both office operations and the ICC Development Program delivery.
The position includes the provision of support/assistance to the activities of the Regional Development Man-ager and other support staff within the Americas Region. Co-ordination and management of individual special projects and activities as they arise is a crucial on-going part of the role. Use of advanced computer skills is a feature of the position.
Main job duties/responsibilities:
•Planning meetings, booking accommodation and meeting rooms, preparing agendas and papers, writing minutes, and communicating with committee members.
•To provide administrative assistance to the RDM in regard to document preparation/presentation standards, general correspondence.
•To provide assistance with projects managed by the RDM/RDO as part of a shared responsibility to successful completion of initiatives.
•To respond to the daily enquiries from the region in regard to the numerous initiatives as part of a shared responsibility.
Communications and Promotions
•To formulate and execute a social media marketing plan including developing a following, as well as arranging and updating various mediums.
•To collate and present country submissions of publicity stories, photos, media items, competition results
•To communicate and follow-up with all Regional countries in regard to key response requirements, deadline dates etc.
•The preparation and presentation of promotional materials such as Media Releases, Annual Year Book, web stories, tournament and tours brochures.
•Manage and co-ordinate the Annual ICC Development Awards.
•Responsible for the managing of appropriate hard copy and computer filing systems in relation to designated aspects of the Americas Development Program.
•To maintain a database of up to date key country information, contact details and country profiles
Events / Tournaments
•To undertake other activities, one-off or annual special projects
•To plan, organize and deliver the ICC Americas Development Forum.
•To assist Americas staff on other regional issues.
•To attend Americas Regional tournaments and events as and when required as part of an overall administration of the Americas Regional structure.
•To assist with ICC Head Office requirements as and when appropriate
•To consult and report to the RDM on all above, as required.
Skills. Qualifications and Experience
•Well-developed communications skills and good PC skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher, Skype, Facebook, twitter)
•Experience with social media development and promotion
•Ability to prioritize and work to deadlines
•Attention to detail and organizational skills
•Good telephone manner
•A team player with a flexible approach
•Ability to work on own initiatives
•Excellent letter and report writing. Good knowledge of English. Excellent grammar and spelling skills.
