Position: Events and Promotions Coordinator

Job Description:
This is a key role in the Marketing department; the OSEG sports teams and our entertainment division. The role is responsible for collaborating and planning events and promotions to strengthen OSEG brands, enhance fan loyalty and increase new opportunities for ticket sales and other sponsorships.


The Promotional Events Coordinator position will include:

• Works with and consults with other departments and employees on event planning, venue booking, ordering equipment/resource materials, onsite logistics, creation of timing rundowns/speaking points etc.
• Collaborates with Marketing and Fan Experience on the planning of events, event calendar, budget and promotions;
• Creates and manages all related event budgets;
• Manages a calendar of events for player and executive staff appearances and ensures team representatives are fully prepared;
• Organizes promotional appearances at various venues such as clubs, schools, and community activities;
• Creates and oversees professional-caliber presentations, videos, collateral materials and promotional giveaways for all events;
• Organizes all logistical requirements for events and promotions while ensuring each event is successful and aligns to our brand (i.e. event location, room bookings, signage, A/V set-ups, lights etc.)
• Leads the execution of events and promotions, including responsibility for managing internal and external resources, as required;
• Organizes and plans all team events for season ticket holders and sponsors;

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

• A post-graduate diploma or degree in related field;
• 2-3 years of experience in sports/event marketing is required;
• Experience organizing public and social events with clients and customers;
• Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and the internet;
• Excellent communication skills, listening, verbal, written and presentations;
• Strong ability to work as part of a team, demonstrate initiative and solve problems independently;
• Is a dynamic self-starter who can operate in a fast paced environment;
• Is creative, highly organized and can handle many tasks at once
