SIRC is an international leader in sport information and is the original creator of the SportDiscus. We have worked with international partners through the collection of qualified sport research papers and have assisted researchers around the world.
SIRC is proud to be a member of the International Association of Sport Information (IASI) and to partner with and receive information from leading international bodies such as INSEP – Institut National du Sport et l’Education Physique, AIS – Australian Institute of Sport, WADA – World Anti-Doping Agency and IOC - International Olympic Committee.
The SIRC collection has over 6.5 million pages of qualified sport research and information, which can be accessed by any member of SIRC. Our ability to combine and collect the scholarly study of sport with the science of human activity, sports medicine and a practical focus on popular sport literature is unique when the subject is related to sport, fitness, recreation, sports medicine or physical education.
The SportDiscus has been further enhanced by contributions from Heracles (France), Atlantes (Spain), the Olympic Museum Catalogue (Switzerland) and other internationally recognized bodies such as: Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Israel, Italy, New Zeland, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Sweden, Taiwan, Thailand and the United States.
