Due to extensive travel, athletes are often faced with fatigue, known as jet lag, which can drastically influence their performance. It can take days to recover from jet lag, but athletes rarely have this luxury - often arriving the day before a competition. Although it is impossible to prevent jet lag, there are steps that can be taken to help minimize its effects.
