Mississauga, August 21, 2007 – Mississauga Tourism is pleased to announce that Mississauga will host the 2007 NABA tournament. Mississauga Tourism, in partnership with the City of Mississauga and NABA Toronto as represented by Dolce and CKaTT Basketball is proud to host the 20th Annual Inter-City North American Basketball Association Tournament August 31 to September 2, 2007.

This tournament is expected to attract more than 1,700 players and over 6,000 guests from all over North America and generate over 1,500 room nights for the area. The host hotel for the tournament will be the Delta Meadowvale Resort and Conference Centre with additional guestrooms available at the Novotel Toronto Mississauga, Courtyard by Marriott, Residence Inn by Marriott and Four Points by Sheraton.

CKaTT and Dolce are both Mississauga-based basketball organizations who have been partners for years representing Toronto in NABA tournaments. “We share the same vision of providing an environment for the youth to develop the spirit of camaraderie, leadership and sportsmanship” said Ronald Baello, CKaTT President. “Through sports, we are able to promote physical fitness and drug-free lifestyles to the youth. This event also provides an opportunity for the youth and their families to get in touch with their roots and heritage. “
