CWBA PROUD TO UNVEIL BEIJING WEBSITE
(OTTAWA, ON) – The Canadian Wheelchair Basketball Association is proud to announce the official launch of their Beijing Paralympics website in coordination with start of the 2008 Paralympic Games in Beijing, China, which run from September 5 – 17, 2008.
The media and fans of wheelchair basketball can log onto: www.cwba.ca to follow Canada’s wheelchair basketball athletes as they strive to make history in Beijing. The Canadian Men’s Wheelchair Basketball Team is competing for their third consecutive Paralympic Gold Medal, a feat that has never been accomplished in men’s competition. Canada’s #1 ranked women’s team in the world won three straight Gold in 1992 Barcelona, 1996 Atlanta, and 2000 Sydney, but had to settle for Bronze at the last Games in 2004 Athens, and look to reach the podium for the fifth time in a row.
The Beijing section of the website features all the latest information on Canada’s Wheelchair Basketball Teams, including news, results, and press clippings. It also includes: athlete blogs, photos, and video.
