Gold, Silver and Bronze – Team Canada returns with medals!

Mike Green (Burlington, ON) and Tim Landeryou (Saskatoon, SK) are gold medalists in the Men’s Doubles event defeating Ruben Estrada and Alejandro Landa (Mexico) 15-9, 12-15, 11-9. This was Landeryou’s first Pan American Championships as a player and to bring home a gold medal will be something that he will not forget.

Paola Longoria (Mexico) #1 seed on the Women’s Pro Tour defeated Canadian Jennifer Saunders (Winnipeg, MB) in the Women’s final 15-10, 15-11. Saunders will bring home a Silver Medal to Canada. This Longoria’s third gold medals at the Pan American Championships, she won in 2006 and 2008.

Samantha Salas Solis and Susana Acosta-mendoza defeated Genevieve Brodeur (Sherbrooke, QC) and Frederique Lambert (Montreal, QC) 15-11, 15-4 in the Women’s Doubles final. Brodeur and Lambert will bring home Silver Medals with them.

Kris Odegard (Saskatoon, SK) will bring home Bronze after losing the in the Semi Finals to Leopoldo Gutierrez (Mexico).
